Love at First Sight
“Who ever loved that loved not at first sight?” -Christopher Marlowe
I asked the bride, “How did you come to be married here at the Chanler.”
She told me a story of how she and the groom were visiting Newport. Driving down Memorial Boulevard towards Newport harbor, she saw the Chanler perched on the the cliff above Easton’s Beach.
“I knew at that moment that was the place I wanted to be married.”
So a year later, it is. A wedding overlooking the Atlantic with the Chanler’s unparalleled view, a perfect summer afternoon. No long lists of pictures, or prepared poses. Simply a great couple that found each other and their dream wedding location in the city by the sea.
