Swamp Meadow Bridge
There is only one authentic covered bridge in the state of Rhode Island. A covered bridge is considered authentic by its construction. An authentic bridge is constructed using trusses rather than other methods such as stringers (a popular choice for non-authentic covered bridges).
Having a little time on my hands on a Sunday afternoon and a tank full of gas in the motorcycle, I decided to put on a few miles and take a look. I bet it's dynamite in the fall. You've got to be looking for it to get a glimpse of it. Bring your mosquito repellent and head out to the woods in Foster.
